What It's REALLY Like to Move in with Your Long-Distance Love
How Long Should You Date Before Getting Married? Experts Weigh In - Verily
Moving in together can be a huge step in a relationship. A lot of my married friends have said that moving in together was actually more significant than getting married, because it was a much bigger change. And there's no right time to do it— though taking it slow is advisable, simply because it's a huge decision. Always wait at least a year before moving in with someone, to be sure the relationship is stable enough to last under the same roof. But how do you know when it's time to make the move? Firstly, it's shouldn't be something you do for any other reason than wanting to take that next step.
Moving in with someone should be done thoughtfully, with lots of conversation and compromise. However, in my case, well It just sort of happened — quickly and with basically no thought or deep discussion.
And yes. The point is that everyone is doing it, which begs the question… should you? Well, not to quote mom and dad, but… if everyone jumped off a bridge would you do it too? We will cover everything you need to know about moving in together—like when to move in together, how to move in together, and how to tell if it might be too soon.
